It explains timelines, condition requirements, refund methods, and exceptions tied to food safety and courier handling in New Zealand.
Consumer guarantees overview
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, goods sold in trade must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match descriptions. Remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund when guarantees are not met, subject to statutory tests. This policy operates alongside those rights and does not limit non-excludable protections.
Eligible returns for change of mind
Because many MindfulMorsel items are food products, change-of-mind returns are generally not accepted once packaging integrity is broken or cold-chain items are dispatched. Non-perishable accessories that are sealed and unused may be eligible within fourteen days of delivery if returned in original packaging and accompanied by proof of purchase. Contact MindfulMorsel before shipping any return so we can authorize the process.
Damaged or incorrect shipments
If goods arrive damaged, photograph the outer carton, packing materials, and affected items, then contact MindfulMorsel within forty-eight hours of delivery or within twenty-four hours for temperature-sensitive contents when feasible. We may request return of the product or disposal guidance depending on food safety rules. Replacements or refunds will be processed after review, typically within five business days of receiving complete information.
Quality concerns
If flavor, texture, or appearance falls outside acceptable variation for the product category, retain labels and batch codes printed on packaging. MindfulMorsel investigates supplier records and may offer a replacement or partial refund when a defect is substantiated. Subjective preferences about taste that do not indicate a defect may not qualify for refunds.
Return shipping
For authorized returns, MindfulMorsel may provide a prepaid label or reimburse reasonable shipping costs when the return is due to our error. For other cases, customers may be responsible for return freight unless law requires otherwise. Use sturdy packaging to prevent additional damage during transit.
Refunds
Approved refunds are applied to the original payment method when possible. If that method is unavailable, MindfulMorsel may offer store credit or bank transfer with appropriate verification. Refund timing depends on banks and payment processors but typically completes within ten business days after approval.
Partial consumption
If part of a bundle was consumed before a defect was discovered, remedies may be limited to the remaining portion unless law requires a different outcome. MindfulMorsel may request a good-faith estimate of unused quantity when photographs cannot establish volume.
Gift orders
If you received MindfulMorsel goods as a gift, provide the purchaser’s order reference or delivery postcode so we can validate the sale. Refunds for gifts may be issued as store credit to protect purchaser payment details unless all parties agree to an alternative.
Subscription or recurring offers
If MindfulMorsel introduces recurring deliveries in the future, cancellation and refund rules will be disclosed at signup. Until then, each shipment is treated as a standalone purchase governed by this policy.
Third-party retailers
Goods purchased through independent retailers must be returned according to those retailers’ policies. MindfulMorsel may assist with manufacturing questions but cannot always process refunds for third-party sales.
Recordkeeping
MindfulMorsel retains return correspondence and outcomes as described in the Privacy Policy to improve quality control and resolve disputes. Records are limited to what is necessary for those purposes.
